Campus computer users with Zoom installed on their GRCC equipment will be required to update to the latest version of Zoom before May 30, 2020. This update is in response to Zoom’s ongoing dedication to users’ security and privacy needs.
Updating Zoom to version 5.0 or higher is mandatory for all users by May 30th, 2020, if not updated users may have difficulties joining or hosting meetings. In addition, beginning May 24th, Zoom will require passwords for all meetings and webinars; this applies to meetings that have already been scheduled.
The recent update to Zoom is available in GRCC’s Software Center (only available on campus). If you are off campus, simply call the IT Support Desk to have a technician manually install this on your behalf.
