A True Handyman: Antonio’s Story

If there were one word to describe Antonio, it would probably be “handy.” Since Michiganders were asked to Stay Home and Stay Safe due to the Coronavirus, Antonio has been taking the time to work around the house.

… Antonio, who works in maintenance for a large apartment complex by Rivertown Crossing, came to the Literacy Center to hone his handiness into a Construction Core Credential through a partnership with Grand Rapids Community College.

Class of 2020 reflects on the year

… Jhada Ramsey, who plans on attending Grand Rapids Community College to study pre-criminal justice:

“My favorite memories are the bus rides and hotel stays with the sports teams. That is how I became close with some of my best friends and could just enjoy my time laughing with people I liked. I will miss the crazy lunch trips with underclassmen and the game-day hype up music. I made the best of my high school career and I will cherish these memories.”
