Keeping GRCC Safe: Wash — and sing!

GRCC is focused on the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff. But we’re going to need your help.

The CDC says washing your hands is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of disease. It recommends washing for 20 seconds — about the time it takes to sing “Happy Birthday” twice.

Now, GRCC Music students and faculty: The pressure is on you because “Happy Birthday” is not going to cut it. This is your chance to shine! Harmony is OK, as long as it is socially distant. Acapella only, please. This is probably as close any of us are going to get to a concert for a while.

We’re placed stickers in the lavatories to remind you to wash and sing.

These stickers are part of a series of protocols, screenings, equipment, and notifications added to help our GRCC family. We’re trying to create the safest possible environment for students to gain an affordable, accessible, quality education.

A sign on a restroom mirror says, "Thank you for practicing healthy guidelines. Keep us all safe. Wash your hands.": "Keeping GRCC safe."
