GRCC In the News, 8-4-20

Anchor Alyssa Hearin: “One of the tastiest events in Grand Rapids returns this week. Tomorrow kicks off the 11th year for Restaurant Week, and, of course, it will look a little different. There are still more than 50 restaurants participating. Many will offer both dine-in and takeout options, and there’s a new digital pass you can access on your phone. That pass lets you check in, which could eventually add up to prizes and coupons. The event raises scholarship money for the culinary program at Grand Rapids Community College.”

Keeping GRCC Safe: Hands-free faucets, flush valves installed

GRCC is focused on the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff.

The Facilities Team has added dozens of hands-free faucets and flush valves in nearly all public bathrooms.

The idea is to prevent the spread of germs. But water conservation is a benefit, too.

All of this is part of a series of protocols, screenings, equipment, and notifications added to help our GRCC family. We’re trying to create the safest possible environment for students to gain an affordable, accessible, quality education.
