Technology Notification – On campus wireless connectivity

Information Technology is working to upgrade wireless access points around campus to improve internet speeds for supported devices. Throughout this upgrade process, some may experience a loss of connection to GRCC’s network, or may not be able to see GRCC’s network at all. Many of you will not experience these connection issues on your machine at all. However, if you are on campus and experience network connectivity issues, your machine’s wireless drivers will need to be updated.

If you are experiencing this issue and are either able to connect your laptop to a docking station or find a location on campus that you can connect to GRCC’s Wireless network, your system will automatically update drivers within 15 minutes. Upon reboot, your system will once again be able to connect to the wireless network from anywhere on campus.

If you are still experiencing network issues after both connecting your machine to a docking station and finding a location on campus which you can connect to GRCC’s wireless network, please give us a call at 616.234.4357

We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
