Reminder: Emeritus Award Nominations are due by noon today, 02/12/21

Nominations for the 2021 Emeritus Faculty Award are being accepted through February 12, 2021. This award was established in 1985 to honor those instructors and administrators whose dedication and creativity have left an indelible mark on the lives of students and colleagues at GRCC. During their tenure at GRCC and since their retirement, they have continued to promote GRCC’s “Commitment to Excellence.”

Reminder from HR: Employee Assistance Program partners with Pine Rest

Many of us are facing challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming, and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but they can make us feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can help:

Grand Rapids Community College has contracted with Pine Rest to provide professional counseling services to all employees (except student employees), their spouses and children living in their household.

We encourage all employees to take advantage of these services offered. EAPs deal with a variety of issues such as depression, anger management, anxiety and physical illness.

Pine Rest continues to provide access to EAP services by working proactively to keep all services open and patients and personnel safe. All outpatient sessions will be conducted via telehealth.
