Kurt Meinders — Retiree Bio

Kurt has served GRCC for over twenty years in various roles in the Information Technology Department. He began working in Media as an A/V engineer, transitioned to IT Tech Supervisor then Customer Support Manager, and ended his career as Customer Support Director.

His favorite memory from his time at GRCC is the great camaraderie and having the opportunity to work with great people.

Following his retirement, Kurt plans to take on some part time work and focus on renting out his Pony Bar Trailers (see photo) and enjoy serving beverages!

Tech Tip: GRCC Post-It Board

Did you know GRCC has a place where you can buy, sell, or trade with your fellow GRCC employees?

The GRCC Post-It Board is an online marketplace where you can also share information about events or ask for recommendations for services from the campus community.

Once you join the GRCC Post-It Board you’ll receive an email notification whenever a new post is made. 

To locate and join the GRCC Post-It Board, follow these steps.

1. From your GRCC Email click the “waffle” (located in the top right corner) then select “Currents”.
2. Navigate to “All Posts” located in the middle left then click the green text reading GRCC Post-It Board.
3. Lastly, click the “Join” button located in the middle left.

MyGRCC accounts can seem straightforward but we don’t always know what we don’t know. Do you work with students and wish you could assist them first hand without transferring them to IT? Would you like to learn more about services available to you that will make your day easier? Then register for GRCC Accounts Explained. We will take a dive into the MyGRCC accounts and more, plus have an engaging and fun experience seeing each other virtually!
