Tech Tip: New layout for Google Meet

Google has introduced a new, simplified layout for Meet which gives users more room for video feeds and content. It also makes the controls easier to find. Learn more about the new control layout with the help of the images below.

Google also updated their Presentation tool, which now allows users to view other participants and the content that you’re presenting simultaneously.

Tip from Google: For better presentations and to avoid mirroring, users should share content from a different tab (strongly recommended) or window than the meeting window. If you need to share your entire screen, move your presentation to a different monitor if possible.

First Lady Jill Biden at pop-up clinic.

The First Lady and the national media won’t be on hand, but the second shot of the COVID-19 vaccine is just as important for the people who attended GRCC’s pop-up clinic last week.

Second doses of the shot will be available at Rite Aid on 2410 Burton St. SE, in Grand Rapids from noon to 6 p.m. on June 17.

Thank you for doing your part to help the GRCC community get beyond the pandemic!
