Celebration of Armen Oumedian Consecutive Giving Awards and addition of seven members to the 500 Club

The GRCC Foundation added seven members to the 500 Club and celebrated Armen Oumedian Consecutive Giving Award recipients Robert Long and Robert Cebelak during an event last week.

Long, a retired Biological Sciences faculty member, has donated to the Gayle E. Long Scholarship, which he established in his sister’s memory, for 34 years. Cebelak, a physics instructor, has supported the Physics and Engineering Scholarship for 34 years.

Those attending the celebration enjoyed food truck fare from Patty Matters – Food Truck, owned by alumna Lauren D’Angelo; Ice Box Brand, owned by alumnus Chris Morin; and El Caribe Food Truck, owned by alumna Gilma DeLaCruz.

Joining the 500 Club, for GRCC faculty and staff who donate $500 annually to the foundation, are: Amy Bennett, Audrey Heckwolf, Angela Salinas, Dana Sammons, Benjamin Smith, Kim Squiers and Rebecca Yoder.

If you work for GRCC and haven’t donated to the foundation yet, now is a great time to start! Now through Sept. 30, any new — or increased — gifts to the unrestricted fund will be doubled!
