State programs credited for community colleges’ enrollment bump

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — West Michigan community colleges are seeing an increase in enrollment this school year with two state programs being credited for driving the numbers.

Enrollment at Grand Rapids Community College is up 4.4% compared with the fall semester last year. This year the college is offering in-person classes, in addition to online courses.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Community College’s enrollment is up by 4.4% for the Fall 2021 semester, according to a news release Tuesday.

The documentary “What Do You Have to Lose?” explores the history of race in the United States to shed light on the current political and racial landscape in America during the post-Obama age of Trump. From Charlottesville and the rise of the alt-right to Black Lives Matter and the death of George Floyd, this film takes an arresting look at how did we get here, why does it matter, and what do we; as individuals and a nation, have to lose?
