Last Friday a team of 14 faculty and staff members from GRCC participated in “Operation United” through Heart of West Michigan United Way, an initiative that pairs teams of volunteers with veterans who could use some assistance around their homes.
This is the 2nd year we’ve been a part of this event which involved splitting wood, trimming trees, planting grass, cleaning up overgrown landscaping, and general yard tidying.
… With event emcee Dr. Bill Pink, President of Grand Rapids Community College, this high-energy event will bring together Chamber members and community leaders to celebrate the outstanding organizations and individuals who are leading the way in our region.
