Tech Tip: Quickly create a new document in drive

Do you need to create a new Google Doc, Slide, or Sheet file fast? Type docs.new or slides.new or sheets.new into the address bar and select enter. You will be prompted to sign in to your Google account if you are not already. Next a new blank document will open. This document will be created in the main folder of your Google Drive.
