On The Same Wave-Length: Octagon Gallery To Open New Exhibit With Reception Saturday

WESTFIELD — The Octagon Gallery at the Patterson Library invites the public to meet artists Kimberly Turner and Ruby Andromeda Miller at the opening reception for their art installation, Wave/Length, on Saturday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The artists will present a short talk for guests starting at 2 p.m.
… Kimberly Turner is based in Warren. Originally from Dunkirk, she grew up along the shores of Lake Erie. Turner earned her MFA in photography from Indiana University Bloomington and a bachelor’s degree in photography and illustration from the State University at Fredonia. Andromeda Miller is based in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, along the coast of Lake Superior. Originally from mid-Michigan, she grew up in the Lansing area and earned her bachelor’s degree in sculpture at Grand Valley State University and an associate’s degree in welding technology at Grand Rapids Community College.
