GRCC Student Emergency Fund

As you may know, GRCC has a Student Emergency Fund. The fund was established in 2009 through faculty and staff donations. This semester we have already seen a record number of requests. To date, we have received and processed 77 applications! These funds have allowed students to purchase textbooks, pay rent, repair their cars, put gas in their cars, purchase bus passes and so much more.

We would like to send a huge Raider Salute to all who have supported the work of the GRCC Emergency Fund to help our students succeed:

  • Financial Aid staff
  • Foundation staff
  • Bookstore staff
  • Accounting Services staff
  • Student Financials staff
  • College Success Center staff
  • Faculty and staff who have referred students to this resource

And, we would like to especially thank all the faculty and staff who have made donations to this fund to allow us to continue supporting our students.

With the recent implementation of EAB – Navigate we are now tracking the effectiveness and success rates of students who have received emergency assistance. We look forward to sharing those results with the campus community soon.
