Sincerest thanks to members of the GRCC CARES Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds Task Force.

With the Task Force’s thoughtful guidance and assistance, GRCC was able to get higher education emergency relief funds (HEERF) directly into the hands of thousands of students facing exceptional need and significant barriers to academic success during the pandemic.

Between May 2020 and April 2022, $19,863,657 was distributed to GRCC students. Final disbursements were made to students during the week of April 4th.   

Special thanks also to those from the HEERF implementation subteam, who lent their technical expertise and worked extra hours to make these efforts successful – Darcy Swope, Bryan Vliem, Jennifer Kowalski, Todd Hurley, and David DeBoer – as well as to everyone in Student Records, Student Financial Services, and Financial Aid who provided their support.
