GRCC CAP 3.4 highlighting resources to support LGBTQ+ staff, faculty and students

The LGBTQ+ Inclusive Fundamentals Team, CAP 3.4, is dedicated to supporting GRCC’s greater commitment to equity and GRCC’s values of diversity, innovation, respect, and responsiveness by highlighting resources for LGBTQ+ staff, faculty and students.

GRCC is committed to a college culture that respects and values all students and employees, and fosters understanding of gender identity within the college community.

GRCC offers gender-inclusive – sometimes referred to as gender-neutral or unisex – restrooms. The list of locations on campus has been updated by facilities and can be found on GRCC’s Gender-Related Resources website.

Scheduled IT Service Portal Outage

On Wednesday, September 7, beginning at 7:30am, GRCC’s Service Management Solution (TeamDynamix) will be offline while it is migrated to the cloud.

The outage is expected to last approximately 5 hours before becoming available to the public.

How will this affect me?

Emails sent to webhelp@grcc.edu and itsupport@grcc.edu will not be automatically created as tickets until the cloud migration is complete. Inboxes will be monitored for classroom emergencies and high priority issues, while all other service requests will be fulfilled after the migration.

The IT Service Portal, including the IT knowledgebase, will be offline during the migration. Some weblinks found on our webpages will be inaccessible during this time.

The Web Team will be communicating with site editors in regards to urgent requests during the outage.

The IT Support department will be accessible during the outage via:

  • Phone (616.234.4357)
  • Chat (located in the bottom right hand side of our department website)
  • Walkin locations (004 RJF and 130 Sneden)

Payroll: Labor Day reminder

As we prepare for the long holiday weekend, the Payroll Team has a reminder about your timesheets for the 9/16/22 pay date (for the pay period of 8/22 – 9/4/22). We don’t want the due dates to sneak up on you!

Because of the Labor Day holiday on Monday, 9/5/22, timesheets will be due one day later than normal, on Tuesday, 9/6/22. We know some of you may be taking some extra time off. Please take whatever steps are necessary to ensure that the most accurate version of your timesheet is submitted on or before Tuesday, 9/6/22.

And, supervisors, if you’re out for any additional time around the holiday, please ensure you have a backup approver in place to review and approve timesheets by the deadline of Wednesday, 9/7/22 (also one day later, as approvals are usually due by the Tuesday following a pay date). More information on setting up a backup approver can be found here.

As always, please reach out to us with questions at hrpayroll@grcc.edu.
