Tracey Lacy becomes Cashiers Office ESP

Tracey Lacy

Tracey Lacy

Please welcome Tracey Lacy to the Cashiers Office as an ESP as Student Financials Customer Service Assistant. Tracey was previously employed in this office for two years. She started in 2012 through the Work-Study Program as an Office Aide. She loved her office so much, she decided to apply for the ESP position when it became available!

In Tracey’s free time, she enjoys cult cinema and art and crafts (she says, “there really is something magical about gluing things to other things”). She has a lot of plants, and she enjoys writing short fiction. Tracey will graduate this semester with her associate degree, and she hopes to pursue her bachelor’s degree in the future!

Raider Salute to ‘My eBill’ committee

From Erica Brown, My eBill project manager:

A Raider Salute to the My eBill Committee, whose hard work and dedication to this project has made it a huge success!

I especially want to thank Jamie Hitchings, Kevin Perrin, and Malinda Powers for going above and beyond their committee duties to ensure the project was successfully completed. I also want to thank Amanda Kossack (GRCC ePrint), Klaas Kwant (Media), and student workers from Cashier’s Office, Financial Aid, Records Office, and Student Employment Services who weren’t a part of the committee, but still helped me with the project. I couldn’t have completed this project without your help!

Faculty members sought for new committee

GRCC recently revised the Tuition and Fee Refund Appeal process. We are currently creating a new “Tuition and Fee Refund Appeal Committee” to review all incoming requests and are looking for faculty representation. This committee will meet on a regular basis though out the Fall/Winter/Summer semesters. If you are interested in serving in this capacity, please contact Jane Mohr in the Cashier’s Office. jmohr@grcc.edu

Jennifer Kowalski joins Cashier’s Office

Jennifer Kowalski

Jennifer Kowalski

GRCC welcomes Jennifer Kowalski, Cashier’s Office Educational Support Professional.

She is a GRCC alumni and has worked as a student employee in the Counseling Department when she attended GRCC. She graduated from GVSU at the end of April, where she received her BBA and majored in economics. She plans to go back for her Master’s Degree in a couple of years after she gets settled at CC and gives herself some time off after getting her Bachelors. Before starting here at GRCC, she worked part-time as an admin. asst./project coordinator at an electrical contracting firm while attending GVSU.

She and her boyfriend Brian recently bought a house in Kentwood in which they share with their 4 animals; 2 dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys spending her free time with my family, friends and animals.

She enjoyed her time here at GRCC so much when she was a student employee that she always hoped to return as a full-time employee, so she is very excited to be here!
