ESP team seeks help for Relay for Life

A message from Staci Dever:

Good morning everyone! I am excited to report that the GRCC ESP Team for the Relay for Life has raised just over $780 so far. We are at 15% of our goal of $5,000. I would like to ask everyone to make a big push these next two weeks and aim to have raised 50% of our goals (or $2,500) before June 13th.

There are many ways you can help! I have pledge sheets you can use to ask family and friend to donate. Completing 1 pledge sheet will equal $100! We also have footprints for sale that you can redeem at our booth on the 14th or 15th for a free goodie!

If you cannot help financially, we are still looking for a few things to borrow for our booth.

If you are intersted in helping in anyway, please contact me at sdever@grcc.edu, Penni Weninger at pweninger@grcc.edu, or Delicia Willondja at dwilondja@grcc.edu

Thank you all so much for your help with this important event!

GRCC ESP to participate in Relay for Life

Cancer is the fourth leading cause of death among college age students. Cancer comes behind only unintentional injuries, homicide, and suicide. If cancer is killing so many college age students, why isn’t it being talked about? There are so many ways to get the word out in order to help college students protect themselves and raise awareness to help beat out cancer. (American Cancer Society)

Join the GRCC ESP in raising this needed awareness and funds to beat out cancer. Register to walk or make a donation at https://secure.acsevents.org/site/SPageServer?pagename=RFL_FY13_participant_center&fr_id=50252&pc2_view=report-team.

GRCC’s ESP Supports Kids’ Food Basket

Nancy White and Anthony at Kids Food Basket

Kids’ Food Basket feeds sack suppers to 4,900 food-insecure kids in Grand Rapids who get breakfast and lunch in school but are otherwise not sure where supper will come from. Over 150 volunteers per day raise food and money donations, assemble and deliver 4,900 sack suppers every school day and 2,500 on weekends.
