GRCC employees participate in Race for the Cure

From Angie Pena, GRCC’s coordinator of contingency employment and health-care reform data: In honor of our former employee Peggy Gorno, a small group (Enrollment Center Crew) walked for the Komen West Michigan Race for the Cure this past Saturday. It was a beautiful day. The race started at 8:30 a.m. at the RiverTown Mall. We bumped into Jim Fox from HR, who ran the timed race and won 2nd place in his age division, and found Raul Alverez, our former employee, at the finish line.

Need Assistance? – GRCC Retirees Want to Help

Retirees are looking for ways to stay connected to GRCC. They are interested in helping GRCC continue to serve our students and this community. Think of ways you could utilize them such as stocking the Bookstore, helping with graduation, in the Library, one on one tutoring, tutoring labs. computer labs, Information Stations, W2 form distribution, events — the possibilities are endless.

If you are in an area of the college that could use volunteer help from our retirees at any time during the year, please send the following information to Liz Timmer at ltimmer1@comcast.net
