Job Training’s Computer Support Technician class visited Metro Health on January 26th. The purpose of the visit was to tour the server room, understand more of the process that is involved in record keeping and ticket troubleshooting, and talk about the logical layout of the network within the hospital.
Students were able to use the Training Room at Metro for their site visit. The presentation also revolved around licensing procedures, thin client setups, asset management and Wiki documentation. Much of the question and answer time focused on how the network was set up for security purposes, both internally and externally, as well as how licensing is enforced when using thin clients vs. thick clients.
Special Thanks to Cora Beute and Metro Health for allowing our class to tour Metro.
