GRCC Holiday Movie – Happy Feet 2 – 11/26/11

GRCC’s Personal Enrichment Team and Staff Development invite employees to attend the GRCC Holiday Movie 2011; Happy Feet 2 (animated/rated G).

The screening will take place Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10:30 am at Celebration Cinema North.  The cost will be $6 per person and includes admission into movie, popcorn and pop during the movie.  Note: Due to changes with the theatres’ policies weWILL NOT be able to serve pizza after the show.

Tickets are on sale from November 9-18 (sorry – no tickets will be sold AT theater) and are limited to GRCC employees and their families.  To purchase tickets see one of these great people:

Flower Power Day at GRCC

Wednesday was Flower Power Day at GRCC.  Members of the Personal Enrichment Team delivered carnations around campus to employees.  The folks in the Learning Resource Center were glad for the “pick me up”.  They are Toy McNeal, Pat Ingersoll, Kathy Schoen, and Raju Hegde.

Chili Cook-off Canceled

The First Ever GRCC Chili Cook off scheduled for Tuesday, February 23, has been canceled due to a lack of Chili Makers and Chili Eaters.  Over the years, this is something that has been suggested repeatedly.  The Personal Enrichment Team, sponsor of the event, would appreciate any feedback or input as to what would have generated more participation in this event.

First Ever GRCC Chili Cook-off

GRCC will hold its first ever Chili Cook-off to raise money for student scholarships on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the ATC Banquet Rooms.  The event, sponsored by the Personal Enrichment Team & College Advancement, invites employees to participate either as competitors or tasters. Tickets are $4 if purchased by Monday, February 15; $5 after that or at the door.  A ticket entitles one to sample as many chili recipes as desired, along with bread or homemade crackers and water.

The annual GRCC Employee Holiday Breakfast will be held on Friday, December 18 at 7:30 a.m. in the Fieldhouse. Tickets are $3 and can be purchased from the following “Elves”:

Planet 51: GRCC Holiday Movie Event

Tickets are still available for GRCC’s Holiday Movie Event featuring “Planet 51.”   The movie will be shown at Celebration Cinema in the Rivertown Crossings Mall on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. The cost of this event is $6 per person. This will get you admission into the movie, pop and popcorn during the movie and pizza after the movie.  This event is for GRCC employees and their immediate household family members. Employee Holiday Movie Event

The Personal Enrichment Team will once again host a GRCC Employee Holiday Movie Event. This year’s movie is Planet 51 (view trailer).

Three Days Until the Twin Bowl: Tailgater Planned

The Personal Enrichment Team and Twin Bowl Planning Team are excited to announce the Ender Bowl Raffle. Present your RaiderCard at the Raffle Table during the Pre-game Tailgate event (11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) and you will be entered into a drawing for a variety of items including; a $250 gift certificate to the GRCC Bookstore, movie passes, and gift cards.  (Must be present to win – drawing will take place during halftime).

The tailgate starts at 11:00 a.m. and features a free lunch and lots of games for kids. Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m. Don’t forget to stop by Student Life to pick up your Family Pass to get your family in for free to the game. PET Sponsors Girls’ Night Out

The Personal Enrichment Team is hosting a “Girls’ Night Out” that offers the opportunity to relax with colleagues on Tuesday, November 3 from 4-7 p.m. There will be vendors demonstrating their services or products all conveniently in one place. Hot and cold hors d’oeuvres and sparkling punch will be served. The cost is only $5 which will make one eligible for drawings of items donated by the vendors. Vouchers may be purchased in the Learning Academy (in 310 Main).

PET Girls Night Out

The GRCC Personal Enrichment Team will be hosting a Girls Night Out on November 3rd from 4-7pm in Room 122/124 ATC.  Please save the date.  More information to come…
