RaiderCard gets you zoo access

Don’t forget to make a trip to the Zoo this spring! As a student, staff or faculty member, you have free access to the John Ball Zoo with your RaiderCard. The zoo program expires May 31st.

RaiderCard system upgrade

On Friday, March 14, 2014 between 10PM and 2AM the RaiderCard system will undergo a system upgrade. The following services will be unavailable to students during the upgrade: campus printing, vending readers, RaiderCard machines, eAccount website and mobile app.

Please note that student parking gates will be raised during the upgrade. Staff parking and door access to campus buildings will work normally. Please contact Paulo Teles in Student Life at 234-3754.

Did you know you can now put money on your Raider Card using  your smart phone?

Introducing the FREE RaiderCard mobile app eAccounts!

If you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or Android smartphone, you can now download a free App called eAccounts to easily manage your RaiderCard account. The eAccounts app will allow you to view your RaiderCard account balance, transaction history, deactivate your card, and make a deposit from your mobile device*.

iPhone and iPod touch users:

  1. Click here, to download eAccounts, or simply open App Store and search for “Blackboard Transact Mobile eAccounts.”
  2. After the app is installed on your phone, select “Grand Rapids Community College” from the list of colleges and universities.
  3. Tap on “RaiderCard” and then on “Grand Rapids Community College” to sign in to the mobile app.
  4. Sign in to eAccounts with your network username & password (the same username and password as Blackboard, Student Email, &Campus Computers.) To reset your campus login go to grcc.edu/password.

Android devices users:

  1. Click here, to download eAccounts, or simply open Google Play Store and search for “Blackboard Transact eAccounts.”
  2. After the app is installed, tap “add a site.”
  3. Select “Grand Rapids Community College” from the list of colleges and universities.
  4. Sign in to eAccounts with your network username & password (same username and password as Blackboard, Student Email, &Campus Computers.) To reset your campus login go to grcc.edu/password.

* Note: In order to be able to make a deposit using the eAccounts mobile app, you will first need to make a deposit via the eAccounts website and save a payment method.

New parking readers for students

New parking readers have been installed in the GRCC student parking ramps. Students will continue to swipe their student RaiderCards to enter and exit the ramps.

Please note that due to the new readers’ design, students will need to swipe their RaiderCard with the magnetic stripe facing the reader display. If you experience any issues with the new parking readers, please stop by Student Life or call 234-4160 for assistance.

RaiderCard System Update 4/15/12

On Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 1PM until 6PM the RaiderCard system will undergo a software upgrade. During the upgrade the following services will be unavailable:

  • Student and Staff printing
  • RaiderCard online deposit
  • Vending and RaiderCard deposit machines

Door access and Staff parking will NOT be affected by the upgrade.

Contactless RaiderCards Are Here – Get Yours Now

Contactless RaiderCard SymbolThey are here! The new contactless RaiderCards have arrived on the GRCC campus. No more need for “swiping”…just tap and go. Some of you may already have this new technology.

However, if you don’t, please visit Student Life before Friday, August 12 to get your very own contactless RaiderCard. Not to worry, your picture will still look good, and not having to swipe your RaiderCard will be…priceless.

So, get your new contactless RaiderCard now, and look for the symbol above starting August 1, and say good-bye to swiping on the GRCC campus. Tap and go…easier, more secure and way cooler.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What if I can’t get a new RaiderCard before August 12?

  • No worries, new contactless employee parking readers will still allow you to swipe in and out of the ramp until October 31, 2011. But we highly recommend that you get your contactless card before the fall student rush begins in late August.

Can I keep my existing RaiderCard photo?

  • Yes.

Where do I tap my new RaiderCard?

Will I be able to exit the parking ramp after getting a new card?

  • Yes.

Improvements to RaiderCard Online Services

Raidercard Online Upgrades

Starting Monday, July 12, 2010 GRCC students seeking to transfer funds from credit card to their RaiderCard using Blackboard (bb.grcc.edu) will be presented with a new and improved web interface. The new interface is in compliance with new credit card security regulations and will continue to provide students with the ability to make online deposits, look up transaction history, check Raidercard balance, and report lost and stolen RaiderCards.

RaiderCard System Update / Service Outage (6/17/10-6/19/10)

GRCC’s RaiderCard system is being upgraded to better serve students and to comply with new security regulations, and as a result it will be out of service from 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 until 12:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010.

How will this down time impact students?

  • Student parking will be free during the down time.
  • Student printing will still be available.
  • All campus restaurants, Bookstore and departments will NOT accept the RaiderCards as method of payment during down time.
  • RaiderCard Machines, copy and vending readers will also NOT accept RaiderCards.
  • The RaiderCard tab on Blackboard will be disabled.
  • Students will not be able to make payments with their RaiderCards in the Cashier’s Office.
  • No new RaiderCards will be issued during the down time.

Reminder: Students and Employees must get their new RaiderCards by Friday, October 2.  After that date, the old cards (that show the Raider mascot) will not work.   The new IDs can be picked up in the Student Life office or the Ford Fieldhouse.  The upgrade is free if you turn in the old card (and $10 if you don’t).

Student Life is open Mon. – Thurs., 8am – 6pm, and Fri. until 5pm and the Ford Fieldhouse Office is open Mon. – Fri., 6am – 8pm
