Irish Studies Concert: The New Barleycorn (4/10/10)

GRCC professor Roger Schlosser and the West Michigan Ancient Order of Hibernians are sponsoring The New Barleycorn in concert.  The concert will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Boat and Canoe Club, 401 North Park Street NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 8:00 p.m. Tickets cost $15 and Roger Schlosser can get those to you ( or you can call 616-458-4994 or 616-361-7685 for tickets.

This past weekend, several GRCC employees turned out to watch Grand Marshal Roger Schlosser lead the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade through the streets of Grand Rapids.

“Mauritius” Performance to Benefit Irish Studies

Join GRCC’s Spectrum Theater and the Irish Studies Program as they kick off new seasons with a benefit performance of “Mauritius” by Theresa Rebeck on October 28, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets are $5 ($3 with valid college id), and there will also be a reception following the performance.  All proceeds go toward a special scholarship fund for students enrolled in the college’s Irish study abroad program, which runs each year during May and June.
