Campus Activities Board to hold blood drive on December 2

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is holding its second blood drive of the year on December 2nd from 12 pm to 5:45 pm in the Student Center Multipurpose Room. This drive will be co-sponsored by the American Red Cross. If you would like to donate blood, please stop into the Student Life Office to schedule an appointment or you can email Evan Macklin (emacklin@grcc.edu) for an appointment time. Appointments are made on fifteen-minute intervals.

Welcome Week kicks off today

Welcome Week will be held on the plaza this week Monday – Thursday from 10 am – 1 pm each day. This presents a great opportunity to come have some fun while engaging with our students! There will be tons of games or opportunities to just sit and connect with someone watching the fun. The Campus Activities Board (advised by Evan Macklin) has been preparing for this special 100-year edition of Welcome Week for a year now, so come on out and support their great work!

(Please note – we will be distributing 100-year t-shirts to the students this week. These were purchased by the students, for the students, so we will not be able to distribute any to employees outside of the few specific volunteers helping this week, per the purchasing policy. There will be 100-year apparel and other goods available for purchase in the bookstore throughout the year.)

Raider Salute to Evan Macklin, Campus Activities Board, Danielle Nyland

A HUGE recognition to Evan Macklin, Campus Activities Board and Danielle Nyland for making it possible for the Lakeshore Campus to host its first ever Finals Relaxer Week! Evan and the CAB funded the food and T-shirts, but if it were not for the logistical efforts of Danielle Nyland, this would not have been feasible at all of our locations. The comments received from students and faculty have been nothing but positive. Thank you for making this happen!

Blood Drive – Give Blood!

Please consider donating blood to help support our community and our country. There is a significant blood shortage due to the weather the Midwest experienced back at the beginning of January. Many drives across the region were canceled and the ones that did go as scheduled had only a few people show. Campus Activities Board is hosting another blood drive, Wednesday, January 29th from 12 pm to 5:45 pm.

Please email or call Evan Macklin if you would like to setup an appointment.
