TRiO/Student Support Services program launches Cafe Connect

The TRIO/Student Support Services Program will be starting a new initiative this Winter 2015 and is inviting GRCC faculty to join!

Our Café Connect Program is designed to provide our TRIO students with an opportunity to engage with faculty in a cordial atmosphere outside the classroom. Our students will have access to a gift card that will cover the cost of coffee (or your preferred drink) and a bagel/pastry at the Quiet Café, the Sneden Café, or the Raider Grill – for themselves and for you. The students will come prepared with questions around career, professional, and educational paths!

We’re excited about the opportunity to extend this invitation to faculty to become active partners in sharing their journey with our TRIO/Student Support Services students.

Despite the terrible weather, we were able to raise almost enough to sponsor a year’s tuition at the Power of Education Fund School in Haiti for our sponsored student, Mikerlange Abraham.
