GRCC student Alan Compo has made it into the top 10 in ArtPrize for outstanding venue with a 2-D mural painting in the Pearl Street bridge tunnel next to the Grand River.
The venue is called “UICA Outside – Westside.”

Associate Professor Filippo Tagliati in the Visual Arts department attended an awards ceremony on September 20th for the Frey Foundation’s Artist Seed Grants, where he and his collaborative team were awarded a $2,000 grant to support their submission into this year’s competition. The grants were awarded to artists who “demonstrated both financial need and artistic merit.”
