Creative Dining held a 3-day culinary training called Chef Lab last week for 40 of their chefs and managers. Fourteen of the employees who attended are GRCC Secchia Institute alumni.
The first day of Chef Lab was held at GRCC’s Secchia Institute for Culinary Education kitchen and amphitheater.
The second day was held at Gordon Food Service Headquarters where a Chef Lab Competition took place. The winning team consisted of 3 of the 14 GRCC alumni: Todd Hurtz, Brady Newcomer, and Ryan Hartman.
Congratulations to Todd, Brady, Ryan, and all of the GRCC staff and alumni who participated in this year’s Chef Lab culinary training!
Academic Support & Tutoring Services would like to send out a Raider Salute to Barb Bouthillier, Tamber Bustance, Hilda Martinez-Gutierrez, Erendida Eduvina Erazo Alas, Cedric Ingram and Soyla Lange, Deb Perkins, Toni Garcia, Kelly Kozloski, Grace Blanchard and Eddie Blanchard for presenting at the August Tutor Training, which was held last Monday and Tuesday at the Calkins Science Center. Additional Raider Salutes go out to Keaton Krupa, Cierra Conley and Iesa Gonzales for catering our event and being so flexible with a last-minute change of schedule. Thank you to all!
APSS Learning Day was a great opportunity for our talented support professionals to connect with one another. This professional development opportunity could not have happened without the help of John Simons in Media, Keaton Krupa and his staff in Creative Dining for providing an outstanding lunch, and Julie Otte and Nicole Dekker in Staff Development. It was so fun to see so many smiling faces at last week’s ice cream socials. The weather was perfect and the ice cream was delicious.
