Anne Sherman receives Margaret A. Chmieleewski Ph.D. Memorial Award

Congratulations to Anne Sherman, professor and counselor in Disability and Occupational Support Services, for receiving the Margaret A. Chmieleewski Ph.D. Memorial Award!

The award was given to Sherman for her “outstanding lifelong leadership, warm sense of humor, commitment, support of the Disability community, and the pursuit of personal development in post-secondary education.” This award is given by the Michigan Association of Higher Education and Disability, for which she has served as a board member for two years. Anne has proudly represented our GRCC family for over 30 years. Cheers to Anne!

The plaque for the Margaret A. Chmieleewski Ph.D. Memorial Award sits on a table. It says: “Presented to Anne Sherman. For outstanding life long leadership, warm sense of humor, commitment, support of the Disability community, and the pursuit of personal development in post-secondary education. May 31, 2019.”

Advising, counseling, disability and occupational support return to Student Center’s 3rd floor

The following departments have returned to their location on the 3rd floor of the Student Center:

  • Academic Advising & Transfer Center

Tuesday 8:00-7:00

Fall hours resume Aug. 21:

Monday- Thursday 8:00-6:30 and Friday 8:00-5:00
