On Tuesday, December 8th, culinary students in the Heritage are hosting an Italian Theme lunch as part of their practical exam. The meal will consist of a four course meal; a soup, salad, entree, rolls and dessert for $16.95 per person. The meal does not include gratuity or beverages. We are limited to 40 seats. If anyone is interested in joining the students as they prepare and serve for their practical exam please contact Bob Schultz at bschultz@grcc.edu or 234-3706 to reserve your table.

  • Soup-Minestrone Milanese with Garlic Flutes
  • Salad of grilled vegetables with balsamic syrup and olive oil crostini
  • Roasted sea bass with red pepper coulis and grilled broccolini
  • Dessert-Tiramisu

Aquinas men’s soccer draws with Madonna under the lights

Grand Rapids, MI- Aquinas and (RV) Madonna played to a 0-0 draw in the conference home opener for the Saints. The game was the first game “under the lights” at the Aquinas Athletic Field after the installation of field lighting earlier this fall. With the draw, Aquinas’ record now stands at 5-2-1, and 0-1-1 in WHAC play.

… Twenty minutes of extra play weren’t enough to separate the two teams, as neither team could generate a scoring chance to end the game. Aquinas got strong defensive play from seniors Matt Jackson (Kalamazoo/GRCC) and Michael Weber (Traverse City/St. Francis), and goalie Ty VandePoel (Holland/Holland) made three saves in net.

Henderson Castle has become one of the most popular restaurants in Kalamazoo. Built in 1895, it is on a steep hill and overlooks the downtown area.

The Secchia Institute for Culinary Education at Grand Rapids Community College is a world-class program with over 25 years of experience offering degrees and certificates in Culinary Arts, Culinary Management, and Baking & Pastry Arts. The Heritage Restaurant is located in the GRCC Wisner-Bottrall Applied Technology Center on the corner of Fountain and Ransom Streets (parking is off of Ransom). Davison grad stepping up at UDM

Heritage now open for lunch, dinner

The Heritage is now open for lunch and dinner. Lunch hours are 11:15 am to 12:45 pm Tuesday through Friday and Dinner is 5:30 pm to 7 pm Tuesday through Friday.
