100 Ways to Give: books for preschoolers

GRCC’s Lakeshore Campus is collecting 100 new and/or gently used books for preschoolers (ages three-five) for the Ready for School program. Books will be distributed to families in the Holland, Zeeland and Hamilton areas.

A list of suggested books includes:

Lakeshore students hold potluck

Kristina Kozub’s COM 135 course held a movie analysis day. Students analyzed “The Way, Way Back” using the theories, concepts and ideas about interpersonal relationships and communication.

Students in the class, held at GRCC’s Lakeshore Campus at Midtown Center, also held a potluck. It was celebration of a learning experience that brought young and older together. The class climate was cohesive and supportive. The students listened to one another and discussed personal ups and downs, viewpoints from all backgrounds, and shared life experiences that made the class even more rich. Friendships were made. Supportive classmates were found.
