See — and vote — on options for new stair tower

This summer, the stair tower glass between the Main and Cook building will be replaced. We’ve got two design options to choose from, and have decided to put those options out to the campus community to make the selection. To see the two final design renderings and vote for option A or B, click here.

The survey will close on Tuesday, so vote now!

You can make a difference – Encourage students to graduate!

Graduation is approaching quickly (May 1st at Van Andel Arena.) Please help us encourage as many students as possible to apply to graduate (assuming they believe they are ready) and to participate in Commencement. Grad Fest is April 7th, so they should apply ASAP.

To encourage this dialogue and to help you engage with students about our desire for them to complete (and even transfer), we invite you to participate in the following ways:

Wear shirts/sweatshirts for 4-year institutions on March 16th and/or 17th. Use this as a chance to discuss completion, transfer and celebration!

Wear your “Ready, Set, Graduate” buttons on March 25th and 26th! (Don’t have one – stop by Student Life to pick one up.) Talk to students to find out if they are close to/ready for graduation. Many do not realize they have to apply. Your conversation could be the difference that helps them reach completion!

The application is online through the Student Records page. More information about Commencement can be found here: www.grcc.edu/commencement

Share open house information with students

The Admissions Office is hosting our Annual Spring Open House for prospective students tomorrow, Saturday March 14th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. The event will be held in the Applied Technology Center. We will be offering Admissions, Financial Aid and Academic Advising presentations, Accuplacer testing, campus tours and an Academic Showcase. If you know any prospective students who could benefit from any or all of these services, let them know. For more information, click here.
