WYOMING — It is a good thing George Rosinski didn’t book any place to go for vacation this summer.

… Buurstra struck out seven batters in six innings to earn one of the all-tournament berths for pitchers. Others from District 9 named to the team were Husted, Corey Murphy (West Catholic/Davenport), Jake Ellis (Forest Hills Eastern), Derek Lewis (West Catholic/GRCC) and Cody Ritsema (Kenowa Hills).

Enrollment event draws 126 students

The Admissions & Enrollment Center hosted an event Wednesday to help students complete their admission to GRCC for the fall semester. Along with staff from Counseling, College Success and Financial Aid, we saw 126 students along with their parents, spouses, siblings, etc. Of those students, 57 took the Accuplacer test, 103 met with a counselor and/or college success coach and 69 met with a financial aid representative. Many did all three! They were also able to turn in transcripts or test scores, set up their technology accounts, sign up for New Student Orientation and have many of their questions answered. Thanks to advance communications with these students, the Enrollment Center also saw an increase in the number of students who came in this week to take the Accuplacer prior to the event.
