Library adds Meditation and Prayer Room

The new Meditation and Prayer Room is on the first floor of the library, in the southeast section.

The room — the result of a collaboration among library faculty and staff, Student Life, and students — can comfortably accommodate six to eight people with a maximum of 15. It’s intended to be a quiet, welcoming and inclusive environment for individual meditation, reflection and prayer, respecting the beliefs, traditions and cultures of everyone.

The Office of Student Life and Conduct will provide general oversight, with library staff monitoring the space. The room can be used whenever the library is open, but it cannot be reserved and minimal seating is provided.
