Hear Speaker on GRCC’s Architectural Design Partnership With Lawrence Tech 10/5/11

Glen LeRoy, dean of the College of Architecture at Lawrence Technological University will speak here on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 6:00 P.M. in the ATC Auditorium. A strong partnership, since 2010, between GRCC and LTU has made it possible for our students to obtain an Associates in Architectural Design and then transfer to Lawrence Technology University (LTU), located in Southfield, MI, to complete a Masters of Science in Architecture.

LeRoy is both an architect and urban planner and has extensive experience working in these areas throughout the U.S. and the world. He has also, taught an Allied Design Studio for Lawrence Tech in Paris, France. He is a “Fellow,” at American Institute of Architects and at American Institute of Certified Planners.

LeRoy will discuss the partnership in general and specifically the Integrated Design Studio being offered by LTU at GRCC. This studio is offered in conjunction with the new Architectural Design Associate degree offered by GRCC. A student taking both the Integrated DesignStudio and the Architectural Design Associate degree can then transfer to Junior status at Lawrence Tech to complete the Master of Architecture program.
This event is free and open to the public.
