Schmoldt among society teachers of the year

The Madison College Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for Two-Year Colleges recently announced that Sun Prairie resident Brian Schmoldt and Susan Hunt have been selected as the 2015 Distinguished Teachers of the Year by the Madison College student body.

… Schmoldt received his MBA in Finance/Investments/Banking at the UW-Madison, a BA in accounting from Michigan State University and an associates degree from Grand Rapids Community College.

Aquinas track & field finds success at Al Owens Classic

Allendale, MI- The Aquinas College track & field teams continued their strong showing this season at a Saturday stop in Allendale. The Saints traveled west to compete at the annual Al Owens Classic hosted by Grand Valley State University.

… The women’s hurdlers also performed well as Tori DeSira (14.05) and Erika Heston (14.44) placed second and fourth in 100 meter hurdles, respecitvely. Heston’s (Haslett/Haslett) personal best improved her #4 performance on the Saints’ All-Time List. DeSira (DeWitt/GRCC) also grabbed a second in the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 63.49. Tori’s time automatically qualified her for Nationals and now ranks her second on the Saints’ All-Time List.
